Welcome to Oxfordshire Counselling and Therapy, a partnership of Margaret Meyer and Michael Launchbury.
We are therapeutic counsellors experienced in helping people with difficulties such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, anger, abuse, separation and divorce, relationship problems, life transitions, low self-esteem, personal development, trauma, self-harm, stress, and a wide range work-related issues.

We are based in Henley-on-Thames, close to Reading, Twyford, Maidenhead, Marlow, Wallingford, Watlington, High Wycombe and Oxford.

How can we help you?

Most people seeking therapy are experiencing emotional difficulties or problems arising from difficult relationships, situations or events. However, you can also benefit from counselling if you are interested in taking responsibility for making your life more satisfying. Therapy helps you improve your relationship with yourself. In the process you can discover inner strengths and qualities, and develop more flexible and positive ways of thinking and being. These strengths and resources are what enable people to prevent problems from occurring and live life more fully.

As therapists we will not tell you how to live your life but rather help you discover your own solutions by developing a higher level of awareness of what you are doing, how you are doing it, and how you can change yourself; at the same time learning to accept and value yourself.

Getting started

Because we want you to find the therapist and therapy that is right for you, we each offer a free, 30-minute initial assessment to explore what is troubling you and for you to decide if working together would be helpful.
